Island of Kolo�ep

Island Kolo�ep smaller island that lies northwest of Dubrovnik.
From Dubrovnik is separated by the strait of Velika Vrata.
Island stands out very mild and pleasant climate, beautiful and sheltered position extremely rich vegetation, coastal and subtropical. Due to its geological composition, have not water resources. In the middle of the island is fertile and extend protected karsts fields, where they grown fruits, vegetables, almond trees, vines and olive trees. Furthermore, there is abundant fishing.
On the island is also a village of the same name, this consists of two villages Donje �elo and Gornje �elo. Donje �elo is located along a bay, which is well protected, exposed only north-westerly winds. Gornje �elo is in a small bay, exposed to wind bora, but protected from the wind jugo, western and north-west winds.
The two bays of the island are lined with picturesque sandy beaches that attract many hikers and tourists visiting Dubrovnik. Bathing is particularly beautiful bays in �elo, Sapluni and Porat. Sea is here very clean and clear blue.
Kolocep Island is a very good place for a nice relaxing vacation.
