Veli Rat

It had already developed in Roman times, situated at the extreme north of Dugi otok, on the shores of Cuna Cove which is connected to Pantery Bay by a narrow canal.
It is a favourite meeting place for boaters and nature lovers.
Its jewel is the lighthouse Punta Bjanka, the biggest lantern on the Adriatic, 42 meters high.

 The lighthouse has been a lighting guidepost to seamen for more than 150 years. 
Besides the parish church of Sv. Ante (St. Anthony) in the very locality, the yard of the lantern embraces the chapel of St. Nicholas, patron of the seamen, where a Roman missal from 1869 is preserved, and it is the right place for the growing interest in romantic weddings.
