It is the most developed tourist locality on Dugi otok with a hotel complex and catering buildings.
The hotels have recently been renewed and a higher category has been acquired. At the moment the demolition of the remaining tourist complex is being taken into consideration and the building of modern high-category suites.
Božava is also a famous diving center with a diving school and a place with various entertaining events.
The locality is distinguished by its lovely beaches, coves, and clean sea, making it often the destination of seamen.
The marina is sheltered by a breakwater and it has running water and electricity. The locality has a surgery, post office, kiosk within the framework of the hotel and two grocery stores.
The dense pinewoods surrounding the Božava hotels and apartments give the place a particular charm.
