A little town at the center of a municipality which consists of hamlets of Brist, Drvenik, Gradac, Podaca and Zaostrog, GRADAC lies underneath the Rili� mountain and at the tail end of Makarska Riviera.
This quiet resort has two stunning pebble beaches, one on each side of the old town. The town in small and lends itself beautifully to families with children, and as an added bonus it has clean, gentle beaches where you can swim, snorkle, dive or simply lounge away and sunbathe.
For history affectionados, we will mention that, on the Crkvina site, stone remains from the Roman period where found, which should mean that in the 2nd and a 3rd century a large roman building excised there. Remains of baths, granite pillars, sarcophagus and coins were also found.
