About destination Njivice[hide][show]

NJIVICE

The town of Njivice is located in bay surrounded by forests and well-attended gardens of family houses. The exceptionally clean blue sea together with the neat beaches, plenty of shade, mild climate and kind hosts are a guarantee for a pleasant vacation.
Njivice are typical tourist place on island Krk without some great historical monuments. But, first time was mentioned in 1474. First hotel was built in 1930 and from that date started tourism development. Beaches in the city are pebble and concrete, outside city are natural rocks in small inlets.
Promenade "Antun Kosta" is situated outside city beaches in direction Malinska. It is long about 1200 m and finishes in Kijac.
Now there are few good restaurants with domestic food, little caffe bars on the beach and free playgrounds for the children. There is no discothéque which makes it a quiet place.
For those looking for active night life there is discothéque "Crossroad" only 3 kilometers away. Also in the next place Malinska, direction south, approximately 6 km from Njivice there are some night and cocktail bars.
Furthermore, in the place there are a few free playgrounds for the basketball, football and volleyball. There is a possibility to enjoy the water sports like skiing, riding the tubes, banana, jet-ski and parachute. Tourists can also play tennis, table tennis, rent a bike, motorbike.
