SALI
Sali is the main municipal, cultural and administrative center of Dugi otok.
It is situated on the northeastern shores of the island with a thousand-year-old tradition in fishing according to written documents dating from the year 990 A.D.

Its tourist structures, closeness of the Kornati and Nature Park Telašćica make it an excellent place for a real Mediterranean atmosphere where summer idleness has been raised to the level of a cult. Besides the parish church of St. Mary, St. Rocco and Nicholas there are remains of ground plans for Christian churches in Stivanje polje, Citoriju and Cuha.
The locality has developed the offer of excursions, nautical and sports tourism.

The tourist attraction of Sali is well-known and it has the world-known Tovareća mužika (Donkey music). Unforgettable are the Donkey races within the Sali Cultural Summer, autochthonous summer folk manifestations.
